Author Talk with Esther Wojcicki

Join us for a live author talk and Q&A! Esther Wojcicki is a leading American educator, journalist, and mother of three daughters, who have each become famously successful as the CEO of YouTube, the Founder and CEO of 23andMe, and a top medical researcher. She writes about her time-tested parenting and education strategies in her book How to Raise Successful People: Simple Lessons for Radical Results.

This event will be hosted via Zoom. You will need to download Zoom software to your computer or the app to your mobile device, links to all of which can be found here. This even will also be livestreamed on the library's Facebook page. You don't need to register to view the livestream, but you won't be able to ask questions or participate in the discussion.

A leader in blended learning and the integration of technology into education, Esther Wojcicki is the founder of the Media Arts Program at Palo Alto High School, which empowers children to explore new interests, discover their passions, and enrich their minds. She has been intimately involved with Google and GoogleEdu since its inception, where she was one of the leaders in setting up the Google Teacher Academy and remains a guiding force. She was California Teacher of the Year in 2002.

This event will be facilitated by Demarest Library Board Members Elaine Kass, retired Demarest Middle School guidance counselor, and Sandhya Nankani, founder of the children's media studio Literary Safari.
