How to Successfully Navigate College Admissions in 2022

How to Successfully Navigate College Admissions in 2022

This Zoom presentation will help families understand how COVID has changed the college admissions landscape and how it affects high school juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.

The recent college admissions cycle has turned out to be the most competitive to date. Most colleges went test-optional due to the pandemic and colleges increased their virtual outreach to high school students, resulting in a record number of candidates applying. With record high application numbers come record low acceptance rates at many popular colleges and universities.

This program will cover:

  • The importance of researching and visiting college to find the right fit
  • Timelines to help underclassmen prepare for finding and successfully applying to college
  • The holistic admissions review process – what's considered important and how students can increase their chance of admission
  • The importance of community service in a student's application

This event will be repeated on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:00pm.
