Central Park: An American Treasure

Central Park: An American Treasure

Be sure to join us for an enriching virtual Spring tour of stunning Central Park.  Art historian and seasoned tour guide Barbara Ferrante’s striking images and insightful comments will take us from the early days of rocks, swamps and humble dwellings to the sweeping beauty and artistry of this magnificent park today.  While Olmsted and Vaux are best known to us, this program will introduce the superb talents of lesser known artists, sculptors and architects who left their “museum quality” works for us to enjoy today.  Mark your calendars for an inspiring “treasure hunt” through two and a half miles of America’s first and best public park.

Barbara Ferrante has lectured and taught art history for the NJ Council for the Humanities and many other organizations and leads weekly museum tours through Petite Tours With Barbara. Suitable for Adults & Teens.
