Edward Hopper's New York-Zoom

This program is Zoom only.

Many of artist Edward Hopper’s most memorable paintings are of New York City, in fact, “Edward Hopper's New York” is currently being exhibited at the Whitney Museum until March 5, 2023. Art historian Sue Altman will focus on these celebrated paintings as well as Hopper's life on Cape Cod. His distinctive style, using dramatic lighting, beautifully rendered architecture and depictions of modern day alienation, has been consistently influential across all modern artistic spheres.

Suzanne Altman is an art educator and art historian who has presented art and art history programs throughout Rockland, Bergen and Westchester counties, for both adult and teenage audiences.
