Back to School with Less Stress
In this workshop, we will explain the brain science behind stress and why yoga and meditation help us to manage stress. You will be introduced to a few mindful movement and breath-work tools to help you de-stress. You will also learn how to start a meditation practice. The workshop will end with a guided body scan meditation, leaving you feeling relaxed and stress-free. This program is appropriate for students entering grades 6 and up, as well as parents interested in learning about reducing their children's stress levels. Registration is required.
Workshop led by:
Miranda Lee teaches parents, families, and kids how to lead contented and balanced lives using mindfulness and yoga. The author of The 5-Minute Meditation Journal, Miranda is a certified Mindful Schools meditation educator, a trained Mastermind facilitator (neuroscience-led corporate mindfulness trainer), and a 500 RYS qualified yoga instructor. She specializes in practical meditation coaching for busy families. While Miranda has over 20 years of experience in yoga and meditation and has studied with some of the world's great yoga teachers, she considers her two young sons to be her greatest "Zen Masters."
