Welcome to Emerson's first Postnatal Yoga series! This class is perfect for new moms with babies who are not yet mobile (generally under 9 months, depending on development).
Shelley (Every Little Thing Yoga) will guide you through a yoga practice specific to healing after birth, focusing on pelvic floor health, strength and mobility. There will be many variations of poses and lots of creativity to be inclusive of all people on their recovery journeys.
Thursdays at 10:30am. Now open to all patrons. Limited Space. Registration is required for each class per person.
Join the waiting list if fully booked. Please call ahead the day of for space availability.
- Week 1 - Oct 12: Mat Yoga. If your baby is beginning to sit up, feel free to bring a boppy pillow/bumbo seat to prop them (along with a mat for yourself and yoga blocks if you have them). Otherwise, they can lay right on the mat as you do your yoga.
- Week 2 - Oct 19: Baby-wearing class. Please bring a baby carrier as we will be practicing our poses while wearing the babies. (Babies can always be held, but the carrier will leave your hands free for poses).
- Week 3 - Oct 26: Stroller yoga. Please bring your stroller as we will be learning yoga poses while babies sit in their strollers.
*Please note: while new babies are welcome and encouraged to be a part of the practice, older siblings are not included in this class as it is focused on the health and recovery of new moms (feel free to check out Miss Shelley's other classes for mom & me yoga options for older children).
