1964: The Best of Stage and Screen
The year 1964 would see an upheaval of many cherished musical traditions. Even amongst the many new sounds and new rhythms, many of the musical traditions of years past found their way into the music of stage and screen. There was even a film adaptation of the star-studded Broadway musical, "My Fair Lady." Jay Daniels takes a look at some of these popular works from musicals like "Fiddler on the Roof," "Funny Girl," and "Hello, Dolly!" as well as such films as "Mary Poppins," "A Hard Day's Night," and "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg."
