AARP Tax Assistance
The AARP taxaide program at the West Orange Public Library will run Monday and Wednesday mornings, 10am to 1pm, beginning Monday, February 5th through Monday, April 15th. Tax preparation is by appointment only. Appointments are scheduled through the West Orange library reference desk at (973) 736-0196
Taxprayers must bring a photo id and social security cards for everyone listed on the tax return. Also bring last year's tax return
NOTE: If (married filing joint) both spouses are required to attend.
To facilite the process, you may pick up your intake/interview form at the library prior to your scheduled appointment.
Property tax refund/ senior freeze/ the blue book
Taxpayers who would like assistance with the PTR paperwork should first go to their tax office to have that portion completed BEFORE coming to their tax appointment.
