Financial Literacy: Saving (grades 5+)

The most fundamental basic to financial literacy… saving! Learn useful saving tips, the different types of savings accounts, and methods to track your personal finances this week to leave with not only more knowledge, but take-home resources and a mini piggy-bank of your own to kickstart your financial journey!

Educate&Empower, a youth led organization with the purpose of promoting financial literacy to NJ students, is holding a four-week program at Glen Rock Library for students in grades 5 and up. The program consists of four main topics: budgeting, investing, debt management, and saving, with one class focusing on one topic. Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to join each week on Saturdays for a fun yet informative class consisting of engaging activities and applicable information.
