The Hindenburg Disaster
Was it sabotage or static electricity? On May 6th, 1937, the commercial airship Hindenburg burst into flames over Lakehurst, New Jersey, causing 36 fatalities and ending the era of commercial airship travel. Presenter James Calaski, a Detective Sergeant with the Glen Rock Police Department and amateur historian, will discuss one of the most famous aviation disasters in history. This program will take place in the Library Activity Room.
