Are you ready to judge the automobiles on display at the Collectible Car Fair?

Who? Youth 10 years of age or older. Adult parents/guardians may sit in to observe the class but the seat count is for youth participants

What? Participants will learn about the criteria and the process of judging automobiles during a car show.

Where? Hillsdale Library meeting room

When? 9:00am SHARP. Please be considerate.

Participants completing the class will receive a certificate.

The class will be taught by Bob Austin. His credentials include: experienced concours judge (Greenwich Concours d'Elegance, Senior Judge at the Concours on the Palisades and other regional events), automotive journalist, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Volvo and Rolls-Royce Motorcars North America and past Director of the Rolls-Royce Club of America.

Most people have been to a car show at one time or another.  For many people the most exciting part of the show is when the
awards are given out at the very end!  But, how are these cars selected?  Who selects them?  And, what kind of criteria are
used?  

This short class will describe the most popular ways car shows are judged and detail the responsibilities of a judge.  It will
also explain why the best car shows are always judged by teams of two or more people. It will explain why car shows are broken
down into multiple classes, and perhaps most importantly, it will show the students taking this class how to be a good judge.
Class attendees will then get the opportunity to put what they have learned to work. After the class students will be afforded
the chance to judge the cars on display.
 

Parents are welcome to sit in but not to participate in the class. Like all things at the Collectible Car Fair, it is for kids and teens.  The estimated time for the class is 30 minutes.
