Transforming Podiatric Medicine with Dr. Warner, DPM
Are you having foot issues that you are concerned with? Below are some of the more common foot problems that you might have. You don’t need to live with foot pain! Come hear from Dr. Kevin Warner, DPM as he shares how to manage all kinds of podiatric problems. Presentation will be followed by a Q+A.
Common foot problems include:
1. **Plantar Fasciitis**: Inflammation of the thick band of tissue running across the bottom of the foot, causing heel pain.
2. **Bunions**: Bony bumps that form at the base of the big toe, often leading to pain and swelling.
3. **Ingrown Toenails**: Toenails that grow into the surrounding skin, causing pain, redness, and sometimes infection.
4. **Heel Spurs**: Calcium deposits that cause a bony protrusion on the underside of the heel bone, often associated with plantar fasciitis.
5. **Corns and Calluses**: Thickened areas of skin that develop from friction or pressure, typically on the toes or soles.
6. **Flat Feet**: A condition where the arches of the feet flatten, causing pain and fatigue in the feet and legs.
7. **Athlete’s Foot**: A fungal infection that leads to itching, redness, and cracked skin, typically between the toes.
8. **Morton’s Neuroma**: A painful condition affecting the ball of the foot, often between the third and fourth toes, caused by thickening of tissue around a nerve.
9. **Diabetes**: Increased blood sugar causing issues with your circulation, nerves and skin.
These conditions can often be managed with proper footwear, orthotics, and, in some cases, medical treatment.
