Plant Swap
Join us for the inaugural Glen Ridge Public Library and Environmental Advisory Commission's "Plant Swap".
Event timeline:
- 10:30-11:15 a.m. drop off, mingle, and preview plants.
- 11:15 a.m. Plant swap begins.
- 12 p.m. take home your plants.
How does it work?
For every potted/bagged plant you bring, you will receive a ticket. Plants will be arranged on the table for previewing. Round one will be for "favorite" plant, and you will be able to trade in one ticket for the plant of your choice. We will continue similarly for two or three more rounds depending on how many plants there are.
What are the rules?
- Plants must be labeled and either bagged (bare root) or potted.
- Plants can be houseplants, perennials or annuals that are transplant-ready.
- If unrooted cutting or bulb, must be several nodes or multiples (unless rare type).
- Please do not bring more than 3 of the same plant.
- Please use good judgment and only bring non-invasive, disease or pest free plants.
- No limit on how many you bring.
Don't forget to visit the Library's new "Plant Stand Swap" on the 2nd Floor by the Seed Library.
