The History of the Bear Mountain Bridge

At its completion in 1924, the Bear Mountain Bridge was the longest suspension bridge in the world (for about 19 months) and the first automobile bridge to cross the Hudson River south of Albany. In this lecture, historian, Frank Goderre will discuss the history of this iconic bridge using many rarely-seen photographs.
