Concert with Music from China
The quartet ensemble Music From China will perform a concert of traditional Chinese music using such instruments as an erhu, pipa, zheng and daruan. Founded in 1984, this New York City based chamber ensemble performs tuneful and mellow Chinese music ranging from classical and folk repertoire to cutting-edge compositions by today's composers. This concert will be performed in the Allendale Community Center and parking is limited so carpooling is suggested. Funding for this program has been made possible by the Bergen County Division of Cultural & Historic Affairs, a partner of the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
