Zoom Event: "How to Help Birds and Butterflies with Native Plants" with Deb Ellis

Zoom Event: "How to Help Birds and Butterflies with Native Plants" with Deb Ellis

Recently the beloved monarch butterfly was proposed for inclusion on the endangered species list. We can help monarchs and all our pollinators by planting natives in our backyards.

Deb Ellis will give you concrete suggestions for creating your own pollinator paradise with wildflowers and bushes, luring butterflies and birds to your yard. She'll explain which plant combinations provide continuous blooms from spring to fall and growing tips for different soil and sun/shade conditions.

About our presenter:  Deb Ellis is a Master Gardener and the leader of the Essex County chapter of the Native Plant Society of New Jersey.  You can find out more about the work she and her colleagues are doing at https://npsnj.org/.
