Soul Mission, Joshua Becker’s debut novel, combines the genres of speculative and historical fiction.

Ephraim wants to quit but is compelled by a force from somewhere deep inside—and Above. His last mission could bring redemption to the entire world, if the past doesn't kill him first.

In his book talks, Joshua engages audiences beyond the page; he facilitates introspection
and inspirations for each audience member, with a healthy dose of humor. Joshua has been writing and
editing professionally for over ten years. He has published across genres, including creative non-
fiction, journalism, business writing, and academic curriculum. Joshua contributed to magazines,
newspapers, business newsletters, and websites. He also edits books, including a nonfiction
Holocaust novel; a novel for upper elementary students that combines character education and
mystery; and a book by the Chief Rabbi of Thailand; among others. In addition, for more than
twenty years Joshua has served as an elementary school Spanish teacher. He writes curriculum
and teaches hundreds of students per year. Far from detracting from his teaching duties, writing
stimulates Joshua’s creativity so that curriculum and teaching is more innovative and
