Kids between grades K-8th can join this author talk book event during the week of Lunar new year.
Discover the richness of Asian culture with Bergen County’s own author-illustrator, Hui Li. Through her award-winning picture book Scroll, Hui introduces audiences to the beauty and history of Chinese characters. Participants will explore traditions of Asian literacy and enjoy a hands-on session in the art of Chinese calligraphy. Scroll was named one of Book Page’s Best Picture Books of 2023 and selected as an American Library Association–Association for Library Service to Children (ALA-ALSC) Notable Book of the Year.
