Garden State: Living Off the Land in Early New Jersey

An exploration of the state's agricultural history in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

The program

Garden State: Living Off the Land in Early New Jersey examines how 18th- and 19th-century New Jersey farmers survived with technology such as bee smokers and cradle scythes. The program will also spotlight the next generation of Garden State farmers trying to shorten the farm-to-table journey for families.
