Abstract Collage Class

Learn from talented teaching artist Cynthia Pareja Dubin in this three-week course designed to introduce participants to the art of abstract collage. Students will learn how to create dynamic, expressive compositions using various papers, materials, and found objects. They will explore fundamental principles of design, color theory, and texture, encouraging personal expression and creative discovery.
All materials will be provided. No prior art experience is necessary, and all skill levels are welcome.

The Foundation of Abstract Collage

Session 2: May 20
Inspiration and Narrative
Developing a palette / Layering and texture / Creating a series
Session 3: May 27
Finalizing and Sharing

This learning program is structured as three distinct, two-hour sessions, allowing participants to build on their skills progressively. Participants register for the class with the understanding that they are committing to all three sessions, to be held on consecutive Wednesday evenings. While unavoidable absences are understood, the idea is to commit to the full course as the lessons build sequentially. Registration will remain open until May 13, the date of the initial session.
