 introduction given by Gerard Amsellem\, who is an artist\, educator\, and 
 founder of New Wave Productions and the Institute of Art and Film Studies. 
 It concludes with a showing of Breathless (À bout de souffle)\, a 
 legendary film by Jean-Luc Godard\, which is widely regarded as the film 
 that sparked modern cinema. Stay for an interactive Q&A with Amsellem after 
 the film to discuss the film's unique cutting techniques\, the 
 groundbreaking roles played by the performers\, and the director's 
 vision.\n\nArtist\n\nGerard Amsellem is an artist\, educator\, and 
 filmmaker holding dual citizenship in the U.S. and France. With a 
 background in painting and advanced degrees in French literature and art 
 history from the University of Paris\, he later continued his education at 
 New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Amsellem has directed 
 several short films\, including "Bartleby" (2013)\, which received a 
 Director’s Citation from the Black Maria Film Festival and was an 
 Official Selection at various festivals. His production company\, New Waves 
 Productions\, focuses on promoting film as an art form and ensuring public 
 access to quality cinema.
