Artist

Gerard Amsellem is an artist, educator, and filmmaker holding dual citizenship in the U.S. and France. With a background in painting and advanced degrees in French literature and art history from the University of Paris, he later continued his education at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Amsellem has directed several short films, including "Bartleby" (2013), which received a Director’s Citation from the Black Maria Film Festival and was an Official Selection at various festivals. His production company, New Waves Productions, focuses on promoting film as an art form and ensuring public access to quality cinema.
