"America's Great Poets, Rock and Roll Lyricists"

Bob McGee discusses how Rock and Roll lyrics from the 1960s and 70s gave voice to some of the most compelling poetry ever produced by American writers. This era saw a convergence of extremely gifted singer/songwriters.

He explores the work of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, CSNY, Joni Mitchell,Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter
and others. He does a reading of the  lyrics, and then plays the actual song.  Mr. McGee encourages the audience to interpret  and discuss the lyrics.
