Baithak Presents: A Book Reading of Rabindranath Tagore's Home and the World
Baithak, a group of six south Asian women who have come together for their common love of south Asian prose and poetry, will be doing a book reading of Rabindranath Tagore's Home and the World. Rabindranath Tagore was a writer, poet and music composer from India’s eastern state of Bengal. A literary giant who influenced the Indian literary landscape in the late 19th - early 20th century, he was the first non-European to be awarded the Nobel Prize in literature.
Seating begins at 1:45pm, the reading will begin promptly at 2pm.
