Financial Literacy-Becoming an Informed Investor
This is special event to coincide with Money Smart Week , a coordinated effort by various organizations to promote personal financial literacy.
The Library is collaborating with the Investor Advocacy Project (IAP) of the Seton Hall Law School, which conducts roadshow presentations around NJ to provide real world education regarding financial literacy.
This presentation will address commonly used terms in the financial industry, different types of securities and the “red flags” associated with each that may signal fraud or abuse by brokers handling your money, common FINRA causes of action, and questions to ask your investment professional before turning over your money. It will provide the foundations necessary for working towards becoming informed investors.
Open to all; Registration is required.
