FULL Senior Happening: Fred Miller Lectures-in-Song "The Last Lions of Broadway"

The Golden Age of Broadway [and American Popular Song in general] seemed to be breathing its last in the late 50s/early 60s with the passing of Rodgers & Hammerstein and Lerner & Loewe. However, two careers were just beginning at that time, and it´s fair to say that Cy Coleman and Jerry Herman managed to add several decades of upbeat, melodic Musical Theatre magic for the masses.

Bring your lunch and enjoy a social hour, with coffee and dessert, starting at 12:00 pm. The program begins at 1:00 pm.

Registration is required for Senior Happening. Livingston residents will be given first preference to register, beginning on October 28th.

If seats are available, guests from other Essex County towns may register starting on November 8th.

Senior Happening is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
