The Wonder of Bird Migration

The Wonder of Bird Migration

During autumn, hundreds of bird species take to the skies for warmer climates.

In this presentation by Wild Birds Unlimited, Pete Axelrod, nature and wildlife enthusiast, will explore why birds migrate, their varying methods of migration, the latest theories on the strategies that birds use to navigate as well as a look at the challenges they face in migration, both natural and manmade.

The program finishes with a discussion of the different species to keep an eye out for as they come to settle in our area for the winter or continue South to warmer climes.
