Genetics and You: The Genetic Expert's Guide to At-Home Genetic Tests

Genetic testing can give you valuable information about your health and even connect you with distant relatives.  However, not all genetic tests are created equal.  Learn about the key factors you need to know before proceeding with a genetic test or interpreting your genetic testing results.

In this casual talk we will give an overview of:

  • What information direct to consumer genetic tests can give you

    • Ancestry Information

    • Health and Wellness Traits

    • Raw Data- What is it, and is it helpful?

  • Clinical Grade Genetic Testing vs. Direct to Consumer Genetic Testing

  • Privacy Concerns with Genetic Testing

This program is presented by Ushta Davar Canteenwalla
