Fly Fishing at the Library CANCELLED

The Library is hosting a presentation and hands-on demonstration of fly fishing, on Tuesday, July 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  We will have volunteers from East Jersey Trout Unlimited (EJTU) leading the class. This introductory class will start in the Library’s conference room and then will move out into the parking lot across the street from the Library (weather permitting).  Ages 12 and up are welcome to attend this free class.

The volunteers will be taking us through safety precautions when fly fishing. They will explain the ins and outs of the equipment used (rods, reels, lines, leaders, flies & waders, and more). They will be teaching the “How-To’s” of basic fly casting. If you intend to participate in fly-casting, you will need to bring glasses, sunglasses, or safety glasses. Hats are recommended but optional.
