The Heart of the Matter

The Heart of the Matter

Heart disease is the leading killer of adults nationwide and it carries a significant morbidity for the population at risk.  Learn about traditional and non-traditional risk factors associated with coronary artery disease, and how to modify your risk and prevent heart disease.

Also, learn about how heart disease affects different ethnic backgrounds, and particularly high-risk groups such as South Asians, the second-fasting growing ethnic group in America.

Presented by Dr. Ali Ahmad, MD, FACC, Cardiology of the Summit Medical Group.

Dr. Ahmad is a licensed and board-certified cardiologist with more than 10 years of experience treating patients in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. His area of expertise includes the diagnosis and management of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac imaging.
