The Livingston Public Library invites the public to a virtual Senior Happening this December when Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Presents a reading of the play Shooting Star.  Dreamcatcher is a professional yet intimate theatre company in residence at Oakes Center in Summit. Their year-long season includes plays, improv comedy, a holiday special, new play readings, and a summer youth program, along with many outreach and education programs for youth, adults and seniors. The Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre professional ensemble of actors builds community with their audience by sharing contemporary, life-affirming stories that challenge, energize and entertain. Shooting Star: Snowed in overnight at a middle-America airport, college lovers Elena Carson and Reed McAllister have an unexpected and life-altering reunion. Elena has stayed true to her hippie-ish, counter-culture path, while Reed has gone predictably corporate and conservative. As the night gives way to laughter, banter, remembrance and alcohol, Elena and Reed revisit a past that holds more surprises than they imagined—and a present that neither of them could have predicted.
