History Nonfiction Book Club

The local history librarian wishes to announce the formation of a Historical Non-Fiction Book Club to be held at Hoboken Public Library every other month. For every installment we will read a non-fiction book on a historical figure or event and then meet to discuss what we’ve read over refreshments. The club will meet every two months so as to allow for extra time to read, as non-fiction books, particularly ones of a historical bent, tend to be far denser reads than the average novel. Our first book selection is The Johnstown Flood by David McCullough; copies can be picked up at the 2nd floor reference desk. We’ll be meeting to discuss the book on January 6th at 6:30 pm. For more information, contact local history librarian Steph at stephanie.diorio@hoboken.bccls.org
