African American History Month : Empowering Women of Color Through Education & The Arts

African American History Month : Empowering Women of Color Through Education & The Arts

Please join us as the Hoboken Library welcomes Thinking in Full Color. This program will be held at 221 Jackson Street, Hoboken.

Thinking In Full Color (TIFC) is an award-winning organization that empowers women of color through education and the arts. Their primary realm is the theatrical world -- through performances and talkbacks, they empower woman-identified creators while educating audiences about the need for diversity in the media, racial issues and cultural exchange.

The event will feature Phyllis Blanford, Rukiya Bluford and Yhá Mourhia Wright performing self-penned works. (Lineup: “Three things I learned before becoming a woman” by Rukiya Bluford, “The Voice” by Phyllis Blanford, “African Drum” by Yhá Mourhia Wright.)
