Secrets of College Admissions

Discussions of college admissions always involve a lot of rumors and anxiety. At Collegewise, many of our counselors are former admissions officers with deep knowledge of what actually happens with a student’s college applications. With the help of these former admissions officers, Collegewise created this seminar to answer the question, “What are colleges really looking for?” Are grades, test scores and activities all equally important? What other factors are considered during the admissions process? This presentation addresses those questions and takes families behind the scenes of a college admissions office. We hope that families in attendance leave this seminar feeling confident about the college planning choices they make, and also have a good understanding of how to navigate the (often false) nerve-wracking rumors that circulate around the topic of admissions.
