Afternoon Art with Liz
CELEBRATING WOMEN ARTISTS - THE HOBOKEN PUBLIC LIBRARY MARCH 4, 11, 18, 25
Art teacher, Liz Cohen Ndoye, will hold a new series of FOUR art classes at the Hoboken Public Library. These classes will accommodate beginners as well as more experienced artists.
Liz Cohen Ndoye, who has extensive experience in teaching students over the last 40 years of her art career, will introduce the contributions of women artists in history and the canon of art from new, contemporary artists.
CLASS 1 - KIKI SMITH - Smith is primarily a printer. Greatly affected by the death of her father and sister, Smith created imagery about death, dying and internal organs. Her extraordinary linear drawings evoke deep feeling and surreal dream like images. Students will do basic printing techniques.
