Easy Vegetarian Indian Cooking (with simple ingredients) on Facebook Live and Recorded

 

This  Facebook Live class will introduce cooking enthusiasts to the delicious & healthy world of vegetarian Indian food with ingredients that can be easily found in your pantry or the local grocery store 

Join us on the Library's Facebook at 4:30 PM! The video will be Live and then recorded if you want to watch it later. 

Here is the recipe and shopping list:

Vegetable Jalfrezi

 

Prep Time 15 min

Cook time 20 min

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  •  3 cups assorted mixed vegetable of choice ( cauliflower, carrots, beans, zucchini, bell pepper, peas, baby corns)
  • Paneer cubes 1/3 cup optional
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 1/2 cup Tomato Puree or 3 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric or Haldi powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 tablespoons Kasuri Methi, dry roasted and crushed (optional)
  • Fresh Coriander, chopped
