VIRTUAL - Home Office Ergonomics: creating a healthy workstation

VIRTUAL - Home Office Ergonomics: creating a healthy workstation

If the future of working from home is more than a social distancing measure to tackle the COVID-19 virus, now is a great time to think about the long term suitability of your home office or workspace.

The ergonomics of working from home are extremely important.

Good ergonomics could be the difference between a healthy, happy and productive tenure of working from home and a variety of nasty health problems, and injuries that could stay with you for a long time.

Sitting in front of the computer for hours can result in headaches, neck, shoulder and low back pain and many other conditions.

In this informative program presented via Zoom,  Lori Lucas, PT, DPT Work Strategies Coordinator and center manager of Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Phillipsburg will share tips on proper workstation ergonomics and basic stretches you can do intermittently to relieve postural stresses on the strained tissues. Lori specializes in the prevention and treatment of workplace injuries.

You will learn how to make your home office setup safer and more comfortable.

This program is open to all.  Registration is required.

Registered attendees will be emailed information on how to connect to the Zoom chat room the day before the event.
