Hand Lettering for Beginners, ages 10 +, teens adults

Registration required for this 1 hour Zoom workshop.

Swetha Shenoy, of The Paisley Corner, teaches the art of hand lettering. 

You will learn the basics of hand lettering and make your own hand-lettered artwork (Note: This class does not include instructions for the colorful background).

Participants will need to gather the following supplies before attending the class (you can purchase the supplies or use what you already have at home):

  1. Pencil
  2. Eraser
  3. Ruler
  4. Fine point black pen
    1. Any fine point black pen or sharpie will work – you can use what you have lying around at home or choose to purchase one of these options: Tombow Mono Drawing Pens or Micron Pen.
  5. Paper: any kind of white blank paper – 2 to 3 sheets
    1. You can use whatever you have – printer paper, blank sheets of a notebook, cardstock, mixed media or watercolor paper
    1. Cut one of the papers you have to size 5 inches by 7 inches – this will be for your final artwork.

After registration, you will receive links to hand lettering worksheets which you will need to download and printout before the class.
