VIRTUAL: American Icons

VIRTUAL: American Icons

The Livingston Public Library invites you to join us on Monday, October 5 at 7pm via Zoom, for a virtual lecture on American Icons, presented by professor James Kane.

From literary icons such as  Robert Frost, Ernest Hemingway, and Ella Wheeler Wilcox, John Steinbeck, and F. Scott Fitzgerald, to sports icons such as Mickey Mantle, and even actors such as John Wayne, how much do you know about these prominent figures of American culture? In this lecture style presentation Kane will explore the figures that shaped America’s popular culture, offering comments and interesting insights on them.

Professor James Kane is a former teacher and superintendent of schools.  Kane is currently an adjunct professor at William Paterson University. Registration is required for this event.
