Focusing on Families: Creating Safe Spaces for Tough Topics
Focusing on Families: Creating Safe Spaces for Tough Topics is a panel discussion designed for parents to engage in meaningful and guided conversations with their children and teens. Moderated by a guest speaker, HPL staff will connect talking points to available book titles and other resources families could use in navigating their own discussions at home. This upcoming session via Zoom will cover subjects in tackling racial injustice within our communities, moderated by award-winning writer and community activist Raakhee Mirchandani. We will also go over de-stressing techniques and engage in mindfulness activities to gain healthy coping skills amongst families. Register via our library calendar. Free and open to parents, families and teens.
