REVERSE GLASS PAINTING WITH IBOU NDOYE

REVERSE GLASS PAINTING WITH IBOU NDOYE

There are now 20 supply bags for this program on the Library's Grab and Go shelf until supplies last! Only one per customer please and please pick up your own bag.

Mr. Ndoye is from Dakar, Senegal but now lives in New Jersey. He is a master of the West African art tradition called Reverse Glass Painting or Souwerre. He trained with the leading artists of this technique while living in Senegal and since coming to the U.S. he has taught this technique to people of all ages all over the Eastern seaboard. He will teach the participants of his Hoboken Public Library workshop these techniques and they will create their own reverse glass painting art pieces. These will make magnificent art objects to use as holiday gifts.

Registration is required (see the button below) and  supply bags will be on the "Grab and Go" shelf in the library's main branch. Please only one art bag per person and start to look for them on Monday afternoon, November 23, until supplies last. We cannot guarantee that you will receive an art bag even if you register. They are available only during this week until supplies last.

To protect the Zoom call from outside interference, please register below with your name and email. Only people who register here will receive the zoom link and password to enter the class about 15 minutes before it begins. After that time you will be unable to log into the live class with Ibou. Fortunately, the class will be recorded so you will be able to enjoy it on the library’s YouTube Channel sometime after the class is done.

If you have any questions or have problems logging on, please email heidi.schwab@hoboken.bccls.org.
