Nupur Nishith the Artist of the month will present a Mithila painting presentation.

Nupur Nishith is a New Jersey based artist inspired from a folk art of Mithila / Madhubani Paintings from India. She has evolved a unique style with an amalgamation of traditional motifs of ancient folk art with modern contemporary themes and tools with global appeal. She works with various surfaces and mediums paper, cloth, wood, aluminum, ceramic, terracotta, glass, murals on walls, ceilings, floors and windows. Her handmade paintings have won awards including an award juried by curator from MoMA and exhibited at various galleries, shows, public art projects and publications. Her handpainted installation art (piano, animodules) have been showcased at various locations including Central Park, NY, and Asian Art Museum, SFO, Nassau County Museum of Art, NY also featured on CBS Sunday Morning Show. Her art adorns the walls and floors of esteemed venues and homes including the likes of Abigail Disney, Dr Harvey Manes of Manes Peace Foundation among others. A pioneer in digital Mithila paintings she designed the title logo for Indian National Award-winning film Mithila Makhaan among others.
