Black History Month Celebration of Artist Kenturah Davis with Liz's Art from Home

Black History Month Celebration of Artist Kenturah Davis with Liz's Art from Home

We are shaking up Liz’ art classes! Liz will be live on Zoom to answer all your questions!

For the month of February Liz Cohen Ndoye will celebrate Black History Month as the main theme of her ART at HOME zoom classes. She will focus on one African or African American artist for each class.

For our second class the artist of focus will be Kenturah Davis. Davis is an exciting newcomer on the art scene. Her concept is entirely unique. She combines text and the written word with extremely realistic figurative drawings. During this class we will explore the place of words, symbols, and signs in the visual world. Students will be invited to create their own writings combined with drawings.

PLEASE NOTE: SUPPLIES WILL BE GIVEN OUT STARTING ON MONDAY FEBRUARY, 4 at 12 pm - UNTIL THEY LAST. FIND THEM ON THE LIBRARY’S GRAB AND GO SHELF AT THE MAIN BRANCH.

Registration is required (see the button below). REGISTRATION BEGINS ONE WEEK BEFORE EVENT AND REGISTRATION CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE EVENT.

ONLY PEOPLE WHO REGISTER HERE WILL RECEIVE THE ZOOM LINK AND PASSWORD TO ENTER THE CLASS 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS.
To protect the Zoom call from outside interference, please register below with your name and email. Please register every week for each class. Fortunately, the class will be recorded so you will be able to enjoy it on the library’s YouTube Channel sometime after the class is done.
