VIRTUAL Livi Writes: Journaling Workshop

VIRTUAL Livi Writes: Journaling Workshop

Journaling is a powerful tool for self awareness and reflection.  During this hands-on workshop, local Livingston writer, Hope Atlas, will explain the concept of  self-awareness and how one can get started with journaling. Participants will be given writing prompts along with 5-8 minutes to free-write.  Following the free write session, participants will freely choose to share their writing in the forms of discussion and reading in an accepting environment.

Hope Atlas is the author of “My Upside Down World,” which was published in May of 2020 and contains quotes and writing prompts meant to inspire.  Holding a master’s degree in reading education from Syracuse University, Hope has worked for 31 years in literacy programs with children and adults. For many years, she also served as a bereavement volunteer, and most recently, she has been involved in community outreach programs. Her writing and poetry have been published in multiple online journals.

This workshop will take place on Zoom and registration is required.  Information on how to access the Zoom event will be emailed to you the day before the program.
