It will include a short history of perfume; an overview of useful terminology; and suggestions for shopping and further exploration. Bring a perfume sample of your choice to this online class—especially something you haven’t tried yet—and we’ll do some smelling exercises together! Jessica Murphy writes about fragrance at her blog, Perfume Professor, and has lectured on perfume and culture at the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Brainery, the Institute for Art and Olfaction, and other venues.
