"Positively Poetry Reading Series"

"Positively Poetry Reading Series"

In honor of National Poetry Month, nine award-winning and published poets will present a "Positively Poetry Readings Series" on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm throughout April on the Library's Facebook page. The poets will be reading uplifting poems about Spring and nature (birds, flowers, butterflies, etc.) as well as poems focusing on other upbeat topics.

On Tuesday, April 20, award-winning and published poet Jonathan Greenhause of Jersey City will read poems from his two chapbooks "Sebastian's Relativity" and "Secret Traits of Everyday Things" as well as some of his other poems. He has won numerous Poetry Contests throughout New Jersey and most recently won Honorable Mention in the 2020 Allen Ginsberg Poetry Prize.  In 2017, he won the Ledbury Poetry Competition and the Prism Review Poetry Contest. He was also shortlisted for the Live Canon International Poetry Prize.

Registration is not required, but videos of the poetry readings can be viewed on the Library's Facebook page at 7:00 pm.
