Creative Drama Class: Kindness Gr 3-5

Creative Drama Class: Kindness Gr 3-5

***This event is scheduled to be held outdoors on the Youth Terrace.  Participants will be required to follow all current CDC saftey guidelines. In case of inclimate weather, we will meet in the Program Room.

Grades 3-5

Livingston's own Sarah Gordin teaches a super fun creative drama class that focuses on kindness through fables.

Participants will play theatre games and create a role drama as we learn about our acting tools (voice, body, and imagination) all while exploring what it means to be kind to one another!

Sarah Gordin is a theatre and dance teaching artist as well as a director and choreographer. Sarah has taught at multiple organizations, teaching young people all over the world ages 3-18, including OutSchool, The Rose Theater in Omaha, NE, Gas Lamp Players in NJ, Broadway Workshop in NYC, Camp Deeny Riback in NJ, The Civic Theatre of Allentown, PA, and The Creative Arts in India (virtually.) Along with teaching, Sarah has directed Shrek Jr as well as co-directed a digital production of Frankenstein at The Rose Theater which gained international attention. The production was presented again at Dramebaazi, a theatre festival based in India. As well as being a Livingston High School Alum, Sarah graduated Muhlenberg College with a theatre major in Acting/Directing. She has also studied at the National Theatre Institute Advanced Directing Program at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center and the Theatre Academy of London. In the Fall of 2021, Sarah will begin working for Americorps in a Title 1 school teaching theatre and dance. Find our more at sarahgordin.com
