VIRTUAL Scorsese and De Niro: An Intense Collaboration

VIRTUAL Scorsese and De Niro: An Intense Collaboration

For nearly 50 years, director Martin Scorsese and actor Robert De Niro have defined a genre in commercial filmmaking with their dark, gritty, and violent portrayals of urban life (Mean Streets, Taxi Driver), professional sports (Raging Bull), and organized crime (GoodFellas, Casino,The Irishman).  But these searing and unsparing collaborations are equally recognizable for dark humor (The King of Comedy) and astonishing convergences of cinematic craftsmanship and popular music.

Join film historian Max Alvarez for this electrifying multimedia tribute to a director/actor team unsurpassed in Hollywood history.  Max has been delivering talks on cinema history for over two decades.

The program is free and open to all; registration is required.
