Join Emily Reimann, M.S., L.Ac., this summer at the Oakland Public Library in New Jersey for an Introduction to Chinese Medicine series.  During this series, you will learn about foundational theories such as Yin and Yang, the Vital Substances, and the Five Elements, as well as how these theories apply to medicine and everyday life.  Other topics will include the basic anatomy and physiology of the internal organs according to Chinese Medicine, and how they correlate to the five Elements.  Lastly, you will learn an overview of the primary pathways (meridians) and their circulation throughout the body.

Each class will include a brief meditation and simple movement practice that can easily be incorporated into your everyday life to promote well-being.  Throughout this series, you will also learn a few acupressure points that you can use on yourself to boost energy and vitality, as well as to soothe anxiety when feeling stressed out.  Classes will include a powerpoint presentation with visuals to enhance understanding of concepts, and there will be time to ask questions as well.  If you are curious about Chinese Medicine, this is a great place to start!
