ART AT HOME OCTOBER 2021 - HOBOKEN LIBRARY - LATIN CELEBRATION PART II

10 am to 12 pm |

FOR ONE MORE MONTH,  Liz’s Art Class will remain Liz’s Art from Home classes during the month of October. All classes will be on Zoom only and recorded for the Library’s Facebook.

Sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see you in the library in NOVEMBER!

Latin American History Month starts in September and extends into October. We will continue our discovery and exploration of the work of influential Latin artists of the 20th century.

For our final October session on Oct. 27, 2021, we will look at the art of Cuban born artist Ana Mendieta. Mendieta was a unique and ground breaking Feminist artist who used her own boy in performance and Earth art to make statements about the beauty of the female body. Students will celebrate their own personal beauty by drawing self portraits. Proportions of the human face will be reviewed and discussed before launching into this project.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required (see the button below). REGISTRATION BEGINS ONE WEEK BEFORE EVENT AND REGISTRATION CLOSES 15 MINUTES BEFORE EVENT.

ONLY PEOPLE WHO REGISTER HERE WILL RECEIVE THE ZOOM LINK AND PASSWORD TO ENTER THE CLASS 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE EVENT BEGINS.
To protect the Zoom call from outside interference, please register below with your name and email. Please register every week for each class. Fortunately, the class will be recorded so you will be able to enjoy it on the library’s YouTube Channel sometime after the class is done.
